Die großen “Überraschungen” des Abends: Danny Boyles “Slumdog Millionär” geht als Gewinner von vier Preisen nach Hause (u.a. Bester Film) und Kate Winslet gewinnt sowohl den Globe für die beste Hauptdarstellerin (Drama) und die beste Nebendarstellerin.
